A “Healing and Hope” community rally is being planned for Sunday afternoon, from 3-4 p.m. on the Goodman Green in West Hartford Center.

“Everyone is invited to this non-partisan event,” organizers said, adding that the rally “is NOT associated with any political party, committee, or person” but rather to bring the community together after a long and divisive election season.

“We are living in truly historic times and our country faces tremendous challenges ahead,” Mayor Shari Cantor said. “This has been a hard fought and tense election season , so now as we enter a new chapter in our country’s history, this rally is an opportunity for us to come together and to heal, unify, and share hope for better days.

Masks are mandatory, and social distancing will be required.

Goodman Green is located at the intersection of South Main Street and Farmington Avenue.
