Holiday Season Gets Underway with Carolers and More at Barnes & Noble

Barnes & Noble Bookfair is supporting Hartford Stage, featuring cast members of ‘A Christmas Carol’ and members of Hartford Stage’s Musical Cabaret Theater on Nov. 8.

The public is invited to ring in the holiday season with Carolers & Christmas Stories at the Barnes & Noble Bookfair.

Events include a book signing with Carl DeVito, the author of Inventing Scrooge, as well as a reading by actress Johanna Morrison from Hartford Stage’s “A Christmas Carol.” Ms. Morrison will be reading the children’s picture book A Christmas Carol illustrated by Brett Helquist. There will also be caroling in the afternoon from Hartford Stage’s Musical Theater Cabaret!

This is a free, family-friendly event. With every in-store purchase of $20 or more on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Barnes & Noble, you will receive a discount flyer for tickets to see “The Christmas Carol” at Hartford Stage Friday, Nov. 28 – Sunday, Dec. 28.

The Barnes & Noble Bookfair will take place on Saturday, Nov. 8,  from 1 – 3 p.m., at Barnes & Noble, 60 Isham Rd. in Blue Back Square, West Hartford.  The event is free and open to the public. Scheduled activities include:

1 p.m. – Caroling from Hartford State’s Musical Cabaret Theater

1:15 p.m. Reading from A Christmas Carol by Johanna Morrison (Ghost of Christmas Past)

1:40 p.m. – More caroling from Hartford Stage’s Musical Cabaret Theater

1:50 p.m. – Author Carlo DeVito chat and book signing of Inventing Scrooge
