The Home Design District Association is inviting all New Park Avenue area businesses to its second annual “Business, Beer, and Banter,” a neighborhood happy hour to welcome new businesses to the area and offer economic development updates happening along the corridor.

The event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, at 5 p.m. at New Park Brewing at 485 New Park Ave. and will include a presentation from the West Hartford Town Hall Department of Community Development and the opportunity to meet and mingle with other area businesses. The Home Design District Association will also announce plans to work with both new and existing businesses in the areas of marketing, brand awareness, and referral building through its membership base.

“As our neighborhood continues to grow and evolve, we are excited to bring all the businesses in the area together to meet each other, find out what’s coming down the pipeline in terms of development, and learn more about how the Association can help them grow through group marketing, referrals, and networking,” said Home Design District President John Powers. “This area of West Hartford is exploding and the Association has done a lot of work this year to expand our capabilities and support its growth. We are excited to unveil our plans and showcase what opportunities are available for new and existing businesses in the area.”

The Home Design District is a nonprofit association that works to attract businesses to the New Park Avenue corridor through collaborations with the West Hartford Town Hall Department of Community Development and through rigorous television, digital, and social media marketing campaigns. While the crux of the neighborhood has been anchored by home and design-focused companies, the Home Design District has been excited by the emergence of other industries that have chosen to call the District home.

The Association decided to host “Beer, Business, and Banter” to welcome those businesses and give them an opportunity to meet one another and make connections with their neighbors.

“As we have begun to see different industries emerge here, from medical to fitness to retail and more. As an association, we wanted to make sure that we could support those new businesses by sharing resources and providing access to marketing and networking opportunities. It’s a hugely exciting time for the District and we are thrilled to be at the forefront of what will surely be a major evolution for this pocket of West Hartford,” Power said.

The Home Design District’s “Business, Beer, and Banter” Business Neighborhood Happy Hour happens on Sept. 24, 2019 at 5 p.m. at New Park Brewing, 485 New Park Ave., West Hartford. Attendance is free but RSVPs are required. For information and to register, visit https://designdistrict.eventbrite.com.
