The exhibit invited artists to share visual images designed to provide insights into the meaning of trust and trusting.

The Monastery Gallery of Art at Holy Family Retreat Center will host a reception for its current exhibit, “In the Spirit of Trust,” on Friday, April 22, from 6:45 to 8 p.m.

The exhibit, inspired by this year’s retreat theme at Holy Family, invited artists to share visual images designed to provide insights into the meaning of trust and trusting. More than 25 artists participated, and many will be on hand at the reception.

“We challenged artists to submit work that would depict our theme,” said Gallery co-curator Kathy Parulski. “We are impressed with and proud to present these works, which we feel will provide a unique experience for the viewer of the many manifestations of trust.”

The Monastery Gallery of Art is located on the historic grounds of Holy Family Retreat Center, 303 Tunxis Road in West Hartford. There is no charge to attend the reception and no need to register. Visitors may stop by the gallery any time between 6:45 and 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The “In the Spirit of Trust” exhibit runs through June 19, 2022. The Monastery Gallery of Art is open to the public Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
