Internationally Acclaimed Guitarist Tsukamoto To Perform in West Hartford

Japanese guitarist Hiroya Tsukamoto will perform at 12 South Main St., West Hartford on Sunday, Jan. 10.

The 2015-16 “Arts in The Center Series” at First Church in West Hartford Center will feature Japanese guitarist and songwriter Hiroya Tsukamoto on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 at 4 p.m.
Tsukamoto’s music takes the listener on an innovative, impressionistic journey filled with earthy, organic soundscapes that impart a mood of peace and tranquility. Tsukamoto is an internationally acclaimed guitarist and composer who performs more than 100 concerts a year.
He was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan, and in 2000 received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music and came to the U.S. Since then, Tsukamoto has been performing internationally including appearances as a leader at Blue Note in New York and on Japanese National Television. He has released six albums.
There is a $10 suggested donation, and parking is free behind First Church. The auditorium is accessible directly from the parking lot.
