The Japan Society of Greater Hartford will hold its annual celebration on Saturday, June 13, in Blue Back Square.

The Japan Society of Greater Hartford presents its 11th Annual Japan Summer Festival, a free celebration of Japanese culture.

It will be held on Saturday, June 13, at Webster Walk in Blue Back Square, from noon to 5 p.m.

The festival features music performances, Obon dances, calligraphy and martial arts demonstrations, a Japanese marketplace, origami, crafts and games, face painting, and a Yukata experience.

Don’t miss the powerful Taiko drumming performance at 4:15 p.m. Get your photo with Pikachu or Hello Kitty. Special thanks to the Consulate General of Japan in Boston and all the event sponsors.
