The Mandell JCC in West Hartford’s 10th annual Parenting Series will begin with ‘Internet Safety Are you a Webwise Parent?’ focused on what every parent needs to know to protect their children online.

Submitted by Michelle Bonner, Mandell JCC

The Mandell JCC will host the first of a four-part parenting series on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 7 p.m. at the Mandell JCC, 335 Bloomfield Ave., West Hartford, CT.

Previous forums in the parenting series have great interest, and this topic – Internet Safety: Are you a Webwise Parent? What Every Parent Needs to Know to Protect their Children Online – is expected to also draw a crowd.

Law enforcement officer Scott Driscoll, who has spent the last decade investigating and working to protect against cyber-crimes, will discuss concerns and solutions to assist parents in understanding:

  • Social networking
  • Popular and trending apps
  • Privacy settings
  • Programs and strategies that will help protect your children online

The forum is designed for adults only, and is free and open to the community.

It will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 7 p.m. at the Mandell JCC, 335 Bloomfield Ave., West Hartford, CT. Preregistration is requested by contacting Colby Wyckoff, 860-231-6376 or [email protected].
