Community support is one of those give and receive things. Jewish Family Services (JFS) provides support to those in need and it is the happy recipient of generosity from those who want to help.
This was evident recently when a donation was presented by Emanuel Synagogue Brotherhood in West Hartford to the Anja Rosenberg Kosher Food Pantry at JFS. “ESB is proud to be part of that helping tradition, which is made possible by the volunteer efforts of our Brothers,” said Bob Tellar.
Support from the community allows JFS to keep the pantry shelves filled and to distribute hundreds of bags of food each month to our hungry clients, friends, and neighbors.
“Food insecurity is a real issue,” said Anne Danaher, JFS executive director. “We are grateful to ESB for thinking of us.”
JFS focuses on three core areas: Counseling, Education, and Community Support, and utilizes a variety of counseling treatment approaches and can help clients address a wide range of issues. Visit www.jfshartford.org to learn more about Jewish Family Services.
