Lamont Signs Gun, Homeschool Bills That Generated Controversy During Legislative Session

Both bills received support of all members of West Hartford’s delegation and passed along mostly party-line votes after contentious debate in both legislative chambers.

Another 19 bills have received Gov. Ned Lamont’s signature, according to the bill notification list on Lamont’s official website.
Among the new laws are a pair of controversial measures that ban the sale of guns that can easily be converted to fire fully automatically, and another that establishes guidelines for parents that homeschool their children.
