I am eager to recommend Shannon Marimon, a candidate for the West Hartford Board of Education. Shannon’s work history reveals her devotion to — and productive career path in — the realm of education. In her current role as executive director of ReadyCT, she fosters career-connected learning so that at-risk Connecticut students may begin to consider future career paths sooner rather than later.
Shannon’s intelligence, common sense, and confidence have shined in her candidate interviews in print and on WHTV5. She has a refreshing ability to listen carefully and provide thoughtful and informed perspectives and opinions.
This accomplished “hometown girl” has been an asset to many organizations as a board member and volunteer over the years. West Hartford would be wise to elect Shannon Marimon to the Board of Education.
