Dear Editor:

I am writing in support of Robert Levine for representative of the 18th district. The State of Connecticut’s fiscal woes are far from over. By many projections, next year’s budget already faces a projected one billion dollar deficit. The next legislature will have to tackle this problem, so the choice is simple, should the task be left to the same legislators who got us in to this mess or an outsider with the experience of running a small business. I choose the later, and I choose Robert Levine.

Robert firmly believes that our state economy will grow only after we have stabilized our state budget. Spend a few minutes with Robert and you will appreciate his common sense approach to business and budgeting. Robert believes in zero-based budgeting, meaning he will require state agencies to justify every dollar spent instead of working off of prior budgets that have failed.

The current trends in Connecticut are higher taxes, fewer jobs, fleeing residents, and perpetual deficits. We must reverse course and elect someone who will address these problems head-on. Please join me in supporting Robert Levine as our representative for the 18th district of the Connecticut General Assembly.

Sincerely,

Garrett Sheehan
West Hartford
