To the Editor:
For eight years now I have had the privilege of serving the people of West Hartford on the Town Council; though I have opted to not seek re-election this year, I will never be able to thank voters enough for putting their faith in me.
What pleases me is that my vacated Town Council seat will remain in excellent hands. Liam Sweeney is exactly what West Hartford needs to continue the progress we have made with our town, our schools and our way of life. Liam is a lifelong West Hartford resident who is raising his family here, and he wants to see his young son have the same opportunities he had when he was growing up. That means top-quality schools, a thriving business base and the kinds of safe, livable communities for which West Hartford has become known.
Liam has fought for better education opportunities for all, he embraces a platform of smart economic development, and most of all, he loves West Hartford and wants to give back. I am honored to have him replace me on the Town Council, and I ask every West Hartford resident to please support him our excellent Mayor Shari Cantor and the Democratic team on November 7th.
