With early voting already underway, a few thoughts about voting this year.

If you are a Republican voter, consider carefully whether you can trust either John Lyons or Jason Wang to represent your party.  Both were Democrats who became registered Republicans only because their personal ambitions to run as Democrats were not supported in a fair nomination process. That alone says a lot about their integrity, but it also means real Republicans cannot trust them to represent your issues and priorities. This is especially true for Lyons who, on the Democratic Town Committee, regularly bashed your President and your party’s positions on local, state and national issues.

If you are a Democratic voter or Unaffiliated voter, what does it say to you that Lyons and Wang put their ambitions first and chose this moment when democracy itself is under attack to become Trump Republicans?

But above all, vote. Send a message that our core democratic values still matter.
