Dear Editor,

I’m very disappointed that our elected officials to the state legislator are voting to cede all local zoning to the state.

While the majority party of our town has already decided the state approach is better for West Hartford (and now the rest of the state should follow suit), residents of West Hartford will lose their voice on how West Hartford should be developed. Why should Hartford tell us what to do? We need to maintain LOCAL control.

Shari Cantor, our Mayor and Ben Wenograd, Town Councilor testified today in support of SB1024. They’re okay giving control to Hartford.  Your vote matters.

This is a wake up call for all voters in West Hartford.
