To the Editor:

Growing up in West Hartford, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing our town’s evolution. As I’ve reflected on what it means to be conservative, I keep returning to the question: what are we trying to conserve? In West Hartford, that means cherishing our community spirit, traditions, and the qualities that make our town unique.

As we consider growth, it’s important to think about safety as well. Increased development and a larger population can significantly change the fabric of our town. We must ask ourselves how much we want that transformation and how it might impact the safety and quality of life that define West Hartford.

The Republican candidates, whom I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with, genuinely care about maintaining our town’s character while ensuring it remains safe and welcoming. I encourage everyone to learn more about these candidates, understand their motivations, and explore how they plan to shape the future of West Hartford.

Let’s focus on a positive, future-oriented vision, celebrating what we love about our town and ensuring it remains a vibrant place for generations to come.
