To the We-Ha News:
I am proud to endorse Dr. Gayle Harris for Town Council of West Hartford. Over the past four years, I have watched Dr. Harris serve as a member of the West Hartford Board of Education, bringing her strong medical background, lifelong West Hartford roots, and community service to bear in guiding our schools while keeping our children and their academic journey as priority one.
During her tenure, Dr. Harris joined her colleagues in advancing a more open public comment process at the Board, moving to allow residents to speak on both agenda and non-agenda items at every monthly meeting. That kind of responsiveness and transparency speaks directly to her problem-solving and commitment to the needs of our town.
I believe strongly that West Hartford deserves leadership that keeps taxes in check, addresses the real concern of increased motor-vehicle accidents and traffic safety, and ensures our community remains vibrant and affordable for families and seniors alike. Dr. Harris shares those priorities and is someone who will apply her professional discipline and deep local knowledge toward them.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, I encourage you to please support Dr. Gayle Harris as she steps forward to help our town maintain its character, improve safety, and deliver high-quality and afforable services for every resident.
Steven Adler
West Hartford
Former Councilman, Town of West Hartford
