To the Editor:

As a resident of West Hartford, I am proud to support Deputy Mayor Ben Wenograd for re-election to the Town Council. Ben has consistently demonstrated the qualities we need in local leadership: thoughtfulness, fairness, and a deep commitment to our community.

Throughout his service to West Hartford, Ben has shown that he is willing to stand up for what matters – whether it’s addressing affordable housing, expanding accessory dwelling units for aging in place, supporting small businesses, or ensuring that town services remain accessible and reliable. He has never shied away from tough conversations, and he consistently pushes for policies that keep West Hartford welcoming, inclusive, and forward-looking. If there’s a tough issue on the table, you can bet Ben is at work, probably with a stack of notes and a cup of J René coffee that’s gone cold because he’s more focused on listening to residents.

Ben’s activist spirit is matched by his collaborative style. He listens carefully, respects differing perspectives, and works to build consensus. At the same time, he is a fighter when it comes to defending fairness, fiscal responsibility, and the long-term health of our community. That balance – principled advocacy combined with practical problem-solving – is exactly why we need Ben to continue serving on the Town Council.

Re-electing Ben Wenograd means choosing a leader who will continue to fight for families, seniors, and young people alike. His record of service and his unwavering commitment to West Hartford make him an outstanding representative for our town.

I wholeheartedly endorse Ben Wenograd for Town Council and encourage my neighbors to join me in supporting him.
