To the Editor:

As a retired State of Connecticut employee, I’m very concerned about the future of Social Security. Republicans have come out with plans to cut and privatize our benefits, some even calling to end the program altogether.

John Larson has stood strong as a champion for seniors in Congress. His plan will finally allow people like me to receive the full benefits we’ve earned. If Republicans have their way, we will receive even fewer benefits.

I paid into Social Security with each and every paycheck. Republicans have given away tax breaks to the top one percent but call us “double-dippers” for earning Social Security benefits. John’s fighting for families like mine, not the wealthy few. That’s why I’m voting to send John Larson back to Congress.
