Dear Editor,

I have had the pleasure of partnering with Town Councilor Liam Sweeney on a number of occasions. As a state representative, West Hartford residents reach out to me with a number of concerns, some that fall under the purview of town leaders. I know that when I reach out to Councilor Sweeney, he is going to provide me with a prompt response and a willingness to partner.

As a parent to two, almost three, young children, Councilor Sweeney is committed to maintaining West Hartford’s reputation as a wonderful place to raise kids. He is spearheading efforts to open a new Elmwood Community Center that will serve the needs of all members of the West Hartford community. Having grown up in West Hartford and engaged in many aspects of community life, Councilor Sweeney is a big proponent of West Hartford’s Teen Center.

When I think about the types of people I want leading West Hartford, Liam Sweeney is at the top of that list. He loves our town and the people who live here. He is committed to making  West Hartford a more equitable place to live. And, he is responsive to the residents he serves. I encourage everyone to turn out on Tuesday, November 2nd and cast a vote for Liam Sweeney and the entire team on Row A.
