Dear Kind Editor,
I am writing today in support of Democrat Stephanie Thomas, candidate for Connecticut Secretary of the State. Ms. Thomas currently serves as a State Representative of the areas covering Norwalk, Westport, and Wilton. In her short tenure, she has made voting rights and law a priority. In the precarious times we live in, we need someone who is dedicated to not just protecting our votes but increasing access and making it easier for all of us to cast a vote for the person or persons we choose. Furthermore, we need a candidate who will be able to stand up and defeat her opponent in the general election. That person is Stephanie Thomas.
Candidate Stephanie Thomas has a plan. A plan that will get it right the first time. Her priorities include ensuring resources and infrastructure, working closely with the General Assembly to implement early voting, helping our state’s businesses achieve greater success with fewer obstacles, and enhance communication between all stakeholders. She is committed to fairness and transparency. She will serve as an advocate and attack misinformation and mistruths with integrity and fervor.
Recently, there have been attacks made on Stephanie Thomas by her primary opponent. Attacks that include the very misinformation that a Secretary of the State will be tasked with taking on. Ms. Thomas has chosen to carry herself with dignity and refuses to attack back in kind – but, rather meet the mistruths and lies with facts and passion. She is to be commended for this approach as there is no reason to stoop to ugliness, lies and desperation.
Fellow Democrats, please join me in voting for Row A and the endorsed candidate for Connecticut Secretary of the State, Stephanie Thomas on Aug. 9th! Thank you.
