To the Editor:

Connecticut’s Secretary of the State is the guardian of our voting rights.  That’s why we need to elect Stephanie Thomas. As a leader on the State Legislature’s Government Administration and Elections Committee, she has worked hard to protect and expand access to voting and assure accountability. Thomas believes that our voting rights are the bedrock of our democracy.  By contrast, her opponent is little more than an inexperienced Trump election-denier.

But there is another important reason to vote for Stephanie Thomas. In Connecticut, the Secretary of the State’s office is a vital portal for state businesses. Thomas is committed to making it simpler and less costly, especially for new businesses, to do business in our state. That’s no surprise since, as a small business owner herself, Thomas gets it.

As our Secretary of the State, Stephanie Thomas will be sure that Connecticut stays true to our heritage as the “Constitution State.”
