To the Editor:

I am writing today to express my unequivocal support of Kristyn Rosen-Jacobs, A Connecticut Party candidate for the West Hartford Board of Education. As a parent with a child in our fabulous West Hartford public school system, I believe Kristyn is ideally suited to serve our community in this capacity.

In short, Kristyn Rosen-Jacobs is everything this town needs for our Board of Education. An appointed commissioner of the West Hartford Human Rights Commission, Kristyn has already proven her dedication to West Hartford and to our children. She is now looking to expand her reach through A Connecticut Party, a group that firmly believes that politics have no place in education. At a time of considerable political strife globally, nationally and locally, it seems perfectly appropriate to me to remove politics from education and turn things over to curriculum experts like Kristyn and her colleagues.

What makes me so sure that Kristyn is up to the task? A fair question. I have known Kristyn and her family personally for over five years, witnessing firsthand the passion she has for education, children, and our beloved West Hartford community. More than that, Kristyn has spent a lifetime preparing for this role. Her experience shows just that level of preparation: Lead Educator, Curriculum Designer, Department Leader, Program Developer, Master of Arts in Administration, and now working towards her Doctorate in Education. Every step along the way, Kristyn has left her mark and grown educational platforms for the betterment of children, educators, and administrators alike.

Kristyn and her family are respected members of the West Hartford community; she and her husband have participated for years in various levels of school functions, organizations, and committees, volunteering time, energy and resources to provide the best possible learning environments for all our children. Kristyn in particular brings joy, an infectious enthusiasm, and a burning passion for education, for our children, and for our town to every single thing she does.

Kristyn has my vote, and she should have yours, too.

Best,
