Hall hosted crosstown West Hartford rival Conard on Friday afternoon in girls softball, in a ‘Strikeout Cancer’ game that also served as a fundraiser.

Hall (1-7) was defeated by West Hartford rival Conard (6-4), 15-0, on Friday afternoon in girls softball, in a “Strikeout Cancer” game that was also a fundraiser and tribute to former Hall softball player Jackie Hamad, who passed away in April 2023 due to an aggressive form of brain cancer.
The game also honored Abby Zittoun, the daughter of Hall Principal Dan Zittoun, who has been fighting cancer for many years, and was played in memory of Kristina Carreira, a beloved West Hartford Youth Softball coach, who died of cancer last fall at age 33.
The West Hartford teams will meet again in the last game of the season, on May 16, at Conard’s field beginning at 3:45 p.m.
