To the Editor and our West Hartford town neighbors,
We are writing to encourage you to support Janée Woods Weber for West Hartford Town Council.
When we first met Janée we were immediately impressed by her articulation of, enthusiasm for, and grasp of the community issues that affect us all. With an education in law and as a former attorney, her career with nonprofits has focused on educational equality, working family needs, and helping communities to engage collaboratively to create positive change. She has also assisted the current state administration with guidance on the needs of women and girls with respect to economic opportunity and workforce equality.
Janée’s background gives her an exceptional opportunity to bring new ideas and solutions to governance of our town. Janée will work tirelessly to make sure we maintain our uniquely diverse community. This includes a continued commitment to public safety, enhanced affordable housing opportunities, expansion of public education with pre-K for all as well as a budget that respects the financial abilities of all residents.
