Letter to the Editor: Support for Mary Fay

To the Editor:

Mary Fay should be the choice between the two women running for the state assembly in the 18th District. Mary knows her way around the complexities of large budgets. She understands the difficulties of finding savings, balancing needs with costs, and the importance of planning for the future instead of simply making promises that cannot be sustained.

As a current member of the West Hartford Town Council, Mary has had to consider and vote on difficult issues that affect the entire community. She seeks to keep our town a safe, sound, and attractive place to live. She will take this philosophy to the General Assembly where she will be an advocate for reasonable financial decisions and programs that take into account the needs of the entire state.

Mary will represent the entire District energetically. With her understanding of how decisions at the capitol have direct effects on the towns of our state, she will both listen to her constituents and advocate for her town.

Mary Fay has all the right background: high level financial experience, caring for the community, and is a plain taxpayer with a family. Mary is someone we can be proud to have represent us as a State Representative. Vote for Mary Fay on November 6!

Sincerely,

Diana MacPherson
West Hartford
