On April 28, 2019, the Greater Hartford Host Lions Club will be hosting its 55th annual Pancake and Buffet Breakfast at the American School for the Deaf, 139 North Main St., West Hartford.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 12. The all-you-can-eat menu will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, hashed browns, fruit cups, muffins, coffee, tea, and juice.
Entertainment will include Anthony Cornicello on jazz piano and an appearance by our mascot, Paws the Lion (fun for the kids!). There will also be a raffle ($2 per ticket) with many prizes to be won.
This is the organization’s largest annual fundraiser and 100 percent of the proceeds are returned to the community through Greater Hartford Host Lions Charities, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Some of the many projects and organizations this event supports include: the Lowenberg Scholarship, which consists of college scholarships awarded to area graduating high school seniors each year; annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the children, families, and staff of The Village for Families and Children; free eye exams and eyeglass for local residents in need; and financial support for the American School for the Deaf, Fidelco, Foodshare, Oak Hill School, The Bridge Family Center, West Hartford Seniors Job Bank, West Hartford Community TV, CT Lions Eye Research Foundation, and many more.
Anyone is interested in purchasing tickets, ads, or making an in-kind donation, should contact Andy Stern at 860-519-1850 or email [email protected]. The Lions Club can also be found on the web at www.greaterhartfordhostlions.org.
