West Hartford’s Lollipop Tree Nursery School students recently held several donations to benefit needy families in the community.

Just before Thanksgiving, the students filled 20 grocery bags with donated items that included soups, rice, beans, pasta, tuna, and more, according to Owner/Director Jon Scher. Donations were delivered to the West Hartford Food Pantry.

The school also held a “Diaper Drive,” collecting diapers and wipes in support of the Moms Club of West Hartford.

“Tons of support from our wonderful Lollipop Tree Nursery School families/community. The donations were amazing. We are lucky to have such terrific families who help out and rally to support great causes,” Scher said.
