A man was found bleeding and unconscious inside the bar area of Los Imperios at 904 Farmington Ave. early Friday morning, and West Hartford Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.

According to police, a call was received at 12:02 a.m. from Los Imperios security, indicating that a man had been assaulted inside the bar area. The man was reportedly unconscious.

Police said that when officers arrived, a shirtless male was found bleeding from the head. He regained consciousness and was treated by responders from the West Hartford Fire Department, but refused further treatment, police said.

According to police, the victim was uncooperative in providing any information about the assault, but a witness reported that the victim had been assaulted by three men on the dance floor.

Security did not witness the assault, police said, and therefore no one was detained.

Police said that one suspect is possibly a male with dreadlocks who was last seen wearing a dark red zip-up jacket and another is a male last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie.

Police are continuing to investigate and ask that anyone with information, including video, contact Detective Robert Magao in the Special Investigations Division at 860-570-8841.

Police said that in addition to the assault, multiple noise complaints were received from neighbors early Friday morning and motorcycles were racing up and down the street. Four additional police cruisers as well as a supervisor were sent to the scene to assist the regular private duty contingent in order to maintain order.
