The first in a year-long series of centennial-themed events, the Mandell JCC Centennial Celebration will feature a fabulous array of games, activities, food, fun and surprises for people of all ages on Sunday, Dec. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT.

The evening will feature an international food court with a variety of cuisine options from around the globe, including Mexican, Chinese and Israeli menu items. To satisfy those with a sweet tooth, there will also be a dessert bar featuring funnel cakes, cotton candy, pie and frozen treats. Vendors include the Mandell JCC’s Café J, CM Concessions, The Crown Supermarket, Granny’s Pie Factory, Margery Gussak Catering, Rita’s Italian Ice and Yosi Kosher Catering and more.

With carnival style games, a large interactive community art project, and crafts and activities, there’s something for everyone. Attendees can learn how bubbles are made at the Bubble-ology exhibit from the Connecticut Science Center, try their luck at carnival games, take a “Centennial Selfie” in our photobooth, help build The Wave, a national interactive art project, and enjoy strolling performers, jugglers, face painting and more!

To top off the evening, attendees will witness a one night only special multimedia display, “Our Future Starts Now!” included with ticket purchase.

All-inclusive food and fun tickets are $18 per person in advance. Tickets at the door are $25 per person and the event is free for children 12 years and under. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
