Why are you running for office? I love West Hartford and want to make sure that it stays a community that my kids want to return to to raise their kids.

What issue(s) are your primary area of focus?  Small local issues that affect individuals. For example, putting a stop sign on the corner of Blue Ridge and Mountain View. Small businesses, making sure that small businesses can thrive in West Hartford and that we bring in business locally. I also am passionate about safety in West Hartford. Cars being stolen, panderers on every corner need to be addressed.

What do you feel is the biggest issue facing West Hartford today, and how do you plan to address it if elected? I think that currently we need to address the pandering issue. When I took my son to ASU, the same thing had happened in Phoenix. They had a simple solution. They put up signs where the panderers stood that said “It’s ok to say no to panhandlers. Give instead to agencies that help those in need” As soon as the signs went up the panderes left.

What do you feel differentiates you from other candidates also running for this position? I have volunteered my whole life. I would be honored to volunteer for the town council. I am looking to give my time to make West Hartford even better. I have always been a person who listens, can lead and can get  things done. I do not always have to be right, I learn from others and work better when I work in a team. I know what I don’t’ know and find people who can help me in areas that are not my expertise. This makes for a stronger outcome.

Anything else you would like to share? Thank you for allowing me to run. A Connecticut Party is what I have been looking for politically. We are working as a team to enrich West Hartford and depolarize politics.
