Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America had its first Hartford-area group meeting on Sunday at the First Church in West Hartford.

More than 120 concerned citizens from around the Hartford area attended to learn how they could take action to counteract the gun violence that is plaguing our country.

Moms Demand Action is a non-partisan grassroots organization of citizens who are pushing for stronger gun laws to keep our children and communities safe. The group is led by three West Hartford residents, Kate Martin, Kate Weaver and Marybeth Moore.
