The valedictorian and salutatorian of Northwest Catholic’s Class of 2018 were revealed at the school’s Academic and Service Awards Night on Thursday, May 31.

Dylan Rispoli of Windsor was named valedictorian of Northwest Catholic’s graduating class and will head to Yale University this fall.

Rispoli has it all – intellect, motivation, work ethic, and a deep concern for others. A Governor’s Scholar, National Merit Finalist, and recipient of the Congressional Bronze and Silver Medals, Rispoli is an ambitious student whose exceptional achievement placed him at the very top of his competitive class.

A leader at Northwest Catholic, Rispoli is a man of integrity, humility, and generosity. He has a strong sense of right and wrong and works for the common good.

During his four years at Northwest Catholic, Rispoli was an active member of the School’s Honors Institute for Leadership in Life, Student Council, Mock Trial, and Unified Jazz. In addition, he led school-wide drives for organizations such as Relay for Life, FoodShare, Catholic Worker House, and Red Cross.

Dylan Rispoli has contributed to Northwest Catholic is every way imaginable and will leave the school better because he was there.

Molly Conway of West Hartford was named salutatorian and will continue her education at Boston College in September.

Intelligent, genuine, diligent, and determined, Conway is a remarkable woman, who values education, friendship, and faith. She has strengthened the Northwest Catholic community in the classroom, on the playing fields, and through her many volunteer efforts.

She is a confident, poised, strong leader whose perfect transcript in combination with her maturity and strong interpersonal skills make her extraordinary.

Conway has earned a myriad of awards and accolades throughout her four years at Northwest Catholic, yet she remains humble and helpful always. Northwest Catholic will miss Molly Conway but is delighted Boston College will see her soar even higher.

Northwest Catholic’s Academic and Service Awards Night celebrates the many achievements of students who have given beyond expectation – in their classrooms, extracurriculars, or service work. The School congratulates the valedictorian, salutatorian, and all award winners honored Thursday evening.
