A Vera Street homeowner has made public a surveillance video which shows a suspect stealing a package from the vestibule at the front of his home.

The theft happened in broad daylight – at 2:32 p.m., on Sunday, July 23.

The theft was reported to West Hartford Police by the homeowner, but according to Lt. Eric Rocheleau there are no leads yet.

In the video below, the suspect can be seen approaching the house with a blue bicycle. He is a black male wearing a dark blue or black solid-colored short-sleeved shirt, jeans, sneakers, and a dark blue baseball cap with a white Chicago White Sox logo on the front. After opening the screen door and removing the package from the vestibule inside the front door, the suspect departs riding the bicycle on the sidewalk, headed in the same direction from which he arrived.

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Hartford Police at 860-523-5203.

He probably now has someone’s dress from Talbot’s. They are getting quite brazen.
