Photos: Hall Girls Swimming and Diving Faces Powerful Glastonbury Team in Opening Meet

The Hall girls swimming and diving team opened its 2021 season at home in West Hartford with a tough match-up against powerful Glastonbury.

Glastonbury traveled to West Hartford’s Cornerstone Aquatics Center for the first meet of the 2021 fall season, with the Gladiators winning the meet with 104 to 80 over Hall.

Top performers from Hall include Meghan Tiernan, who won the 200 IM and 500 Freestyle in state qualifying times.

Several other swimmers also qualified for the State Class LL championships including:

  • Junior diver Mayalin Glooch
  • Junior Molly Nordquist in the 200 Free and 100 Fly
  • Junior Jacqui Fox in the 50 Free and 100 Yard Backstroke
  • Freshman Mindy Zhao in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke
  • Freshman Miriam Youel in the 500 Freestyle
