Blue Back Square’s Pink Party – a “Party with a Purpose” to raise awareness of breast cancer and provide support for those undergoing treatment – was held on Friday, Oct. 4 in West Hartford’s Blue Back Square.
The event included a fashion show, with breast cancer survivors, escorted by members of the West Hartford Fire Department, modeling the latest in fall fashions.
Attendees enjoyed vendor booths with valuable information and giveaways, food samples, and a performance by the award-winning New England-based band Shaded Soul.
Pink Party, which benefits Susan G. Komen of New England, is hosted by Hartford Courant Media Group in partnership with WTNH News 8. Laura Hutchinson, co-anchor of WTNH’s “Good Morning Connecticut,” and traffic anchor Alyssa Taglia served as emcees.
All proceeds raised at the event were to benefit Susan G. Komen New England.
