Games, laughter, friendly competition, and a chance to make a difference will come together on Wednesday, Aug. 26, when 2-4-1 hosts its second annual Play It Forward fundraiser at the Pond House Café in Elizabeth Park.

Designed as an adults-only evening where field day meets fundraising, Play It Forward features sports-inspired games, great food, drinks, prizes, and plenty of fun, all while helping more kids discover the confidence, friendships, and sense of belonging that sports can provide.

Proceeds from the event support 2-4-1’s sport-based youth development programs, which partner with schools and community organizations to help kids build confidence, strengthen social and emotional skills, develop resilience, and learn lifelong lessons through sports and play. By removing barriers to access and participation, 2-4-1 helps more kids experience the confidence, friendships, and lifelong lessons that sports provide.

“Every kid deserves the chance to experience the confidence, friendships, and life lessons that come from playing sports,” said Steve Boyle, Executive Director of 2-4-1. “Play It Forward is a fun way for our community to come together and help make that possible. Every ticket purchased helps give more kids the opportunity to play.”

The evening will also honor Stephanie Blozy for her leadership, generosity, and commitment to expanding opportunities for kids and strengthening communities throughout Greater Hartford.

In addition to enjoying an evening of games, food, and entertainment, guests will have the opportunity to connect with community leaders, local businesses, and supporters who believe every kid deserves the chance to play.

Play It Forward will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Pond House Café in Elizabeth Park.

Tickets are still available. To purchase tickets or learn more about sponsorship opportunities, visit the event website.
