Online registration for West Hartford Youth Baseball League‘s Spring 2015 season is now open!  Boys and girls ages 5-12 are eligible to register.

Entering its 66th season, the West Hartford Youth Baseball League (WHYBL) is the most experienced baseball league in town, and recognized statewide for its quality play and experienced coaches.

Affiliated with Cal Ripken Baseball, WHYBL focuses on providing your child with the best baseball experience to learn the game and improve their skills as they move through the program. Our record of success is unmatched in West Hartford, with two Ripken State Championships and one New England Championship in the past two years. Many of our players have gone on to compete successfully in high school and college, and recently a former player was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays.  Other players have gone on to success in other sports, or returned as coaches to our league.

Register today at www.whybaseball.com. To register, simply click the yellow “Register Now” button on the upper right side of the website, select the appropriate age division for your child, and then complete the registration process. Register prior to February 15 to receive $25 off.

WHYBL features:

  • School-based teams up to age 10, and buddy requests up to age 8.
  • Training League for 5 and 6 year olds placing new players on smaller teams with other first time players to learn via a T-Ball experience, while returning and advanced players are grouped together in coach pitch.
  • Instructional League for 7 and 8 year olds featuring machine pitch which helps move the games along and better develop hitting skills.
  • Minor League for 9 and 10 year old players with player pitch on a 46/60 diamond.
  • Major League for 10-12 year old players on the larger 50/70 diamond which promotes safety and models Major League baseball with leading and stealing.
  • Competitive summer travel baseball for 8-12 year old players, including a week-long trip to Cooperstown Dreams Park for 12 year old team.
  • Recreational summer baseball for 8-11 year old players who want a more relaxed summer experience.
  • Winter workouts and indoor practices at Trinity College.
  • Cal Ripken certified coaches, many with high school or college experience or 10 or more years WHYBL coaching experience.
