You know how you have a letdown after the hustle and bustle of the holidays and now you find yourself in January and you’re looking for some great musical entertainment? Well, look no further!

Rock Voices, the area’s only community rock choir, will present a concert on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m. at Conard High School in West Hartford.  The show will include hits from the ’60s right up to the present!

Founded by award-winning composer/director/educator Tony Lechner, and directed by the talented Jim Boratko, the choir will be backed up by a four-piece band comprised of professional musicians with southern New England roots. Add the harmonies of Lechner’s arrangements sung by a 100-plus voice choir and you are in for a real treat!

Rock Voicesbegan in the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts in 2012, and has expanded into southern Vermont and New Hampshire, central Connecticut, upstate New York, and Portland, Oregon.  The concerts are events that bring a sense of community, a love of music, and a desire to share that joy with others. But be careful … once you experience this choir in person, you might find yourself signing up to sing next time around!

Now, on Saturday, Jan. 5, be prepared to enjoy a rockin’ good night of favorites spanning six decades!

Conard High School is located at 110 Beechwood Rd., West Hartford, CT. Ticket prices are Adult $15, Senior $12, Student $8, and will be available at the door, or may be obtained by going to the website www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3942056.
