The UConn Men’s Basketball Team’s repeat NCAA Championship victory was celebrated Saturday, April 13, 2024, with a parade and rally.

An estimated 60,000 people attended a victory parade and rally on Saturday in Hartford, celebrating the UConn men’s basketball team’s record-breaking back-to-back championship season.
Coach Dan Hurley and many members of the team addressed the cheering crowd as confetti rained down from the sky. Other speakers included Donovan Clingan, Alex Karajan, Cam Spencer, and Tristen Newton – as well as Gov. Ned Lamont, Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam, and UConn Athletic Director David Benedict.
Many from West Hartford stood along the route and gathered in front of the XL Center to cheer for the team and supporters. It was a day of pride, a day of celebration, and a great day to be in Connecticut.
