School’s Out, West Hartford Splash Pads and Outdoor Pools Open

Three of the four West Hartford outdoor pools opened for the season on Friday, June 19, 2026.

The last day of school for West Hartford Public Schools was Thursday, June 18, and on Friday, June 19, three of the four of West Hartford’s outdoor pools opened for public swimming for the summer.
Pools that are currently open are:
- Beachland Pool, 847 Quaker Lane
- Fernridge Pool, 567 Fern Street
- Kennedy Pool, 160 Oakwood Avenue

Replacement of Eisenhower Park Pool, 13 Sheep Hill Drive, has been underway and according to West Hartford Leisure Services, the pool will open on July 6, 2026. The new pool will include zero depth entry but will maintain the deep end. Upgrades also include a renovated pool house, family changing rooms, accessible facilities, and a handicap ramp.
Daily admission to the outdoor pools for West Hartford residents is $5.00 for children and seniors, and $6.00 for adults. Non-resident rates are $7.50 per day for children and seniors and $9.00 for adults. Information about purchasing outdoor pool punch cards can be found here.

According to Leisure Services, the splash pads, along with bathroom facilities, opened for the season at Beachland Park, Fernridge Park, Kennedy Park and Wolcott Park. Splash pads are open daily, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and there is no charge.Click here to view the hours of operation at each park.
All pools will remain open through Sunday, Aug, 16, and splash pads will stay open through Labor Day.
