The screening of “Stephanie Thomas – Voice in the Room: Black Woman Navigating Power and Public Service,” a graduate capstone documentary created by Jodiann Gayle, a graduate student in the Communications Master’s Program at the University of Hartford, College of Arts and Sciences, will be held at the University of Hartford.
The film spotlights Connecticut Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas and explores leadership, representation, and civic courage within public service.
The screening will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at 5 p.m., at Wilde Auditorium at the University of Hartford.
Following the screening, there will be a short civic discussion hosted by The Gov. M. Jodi Rell Center for Public Service, giving insights into communication, governance, and representation in civic spaces. The conversation will include Michael Rell and Stephanie Thomas.
