Effie’s Place Restaurant, at 91 Park Road, will kick off a Thursday night “Music on The Patio” series on August 14th, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

The timing couldn’t be better for this outdoor music series at Effie’s Place Restaurant on Park Road in West Hartford! While a few of the outdoor concert series in town are winding down, this “Music on The Patio” series will start on August 14, 2014, which happens to be one of the most beautiful nights of the summer (73 degrees, sunny, breezy AND a great menu – doesn’t get much better than that!). Summer isn’t over yet, and the cool, comfortable weather this time of year will be the perfect setting for this multi-week series.
“We are excited to kick this series off and we will have music every Thursday (weather permitting), until early October,” said Johnny Paindiris from Effie’s Place. Effie’s Place added patio seating in 2012, greatly expanding seating, and planning for the concert series began last winter. Johnny is happy to see it coming to life.
Musician Mark Louis Miller will be at Effie’s Place Aug. 14, 6:00-8.
Mark Louis Miller will kick off the series on August 14. Mark is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer songwriter working in a variety of styles including Jazz, Folk, Country, Americana and Rock. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Mark has worked as a sideman/session player; performed live with a variety of artists and bands and composed for film. Mark has released 2 CDs of his original instrumental music (Fresh Air and One Lane Bridge) and co-authored the book World Beat Encyclopedia. Mark performs locally with the Regulators, solo and with his jazz trio.

On August 21, singer-song writer, Frank Guglielmino will perform. He has been performing throughout the Hartford area, CT’s northwest corner, and The Berkshires for the past 20 years. He has played in several bands with well-known musicians, such as Chris Tofield, Steve Peck , and Jim Griswold. Currently playing solo acoustic and electric shows, Frank has a vast repertoire of blues, classic rock and classic country favorites. From The Beatles to Johnny Cash, all the way to Nirvana, Frank has music for all to enjoy.
Bands are subject to change. You can visit the Effie’s Place Facebook page for information on the series. All concerts are on Thursday nights and, as previously stated, they are weather permitting.
