The week of Dec. 12, 2022 is the last week of the Town of West Hartford fall leaf collection program.

Residents should make sure to put leaves at the curb by 6 a.m.on the morning of their regular trash collection day. After this collection week, residents with a permit can bring leaves to the Yard Waste and Recycling Center at 25 Brixton Street, West Hartford.

Please note that the Center will be closed on Saturdays for the winter after Dec. 17, 2022 – which is the last Saturday the Yard Waste and Recycling Center will be open until early April of 2023.

Commercial leaf voucher permits are good through Saturday, Dec. 17. Residents with a permit may continue to bring leaves when the site is open.

All leaves and other yard waste, other than bundled branches, must be placed in 30-gallon biodegradable bags. Photo credit: Ronni Newton (we-ha.com file photo)
