Trash and Recycling Delayed for Thanksgiving Holiday

Thursday and Friday collections will be impacted, and other town services in West Hartford will be impacted by the Thanksgiving holiday.

From the Town of West Hartford 

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, trash, recycling, and metal collections will be delayed one day after the holiday.

The normal Thursday collection will be done on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, and Friday’s collection will be done on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016.

No other collection days are affected during this holiday week or the following week. Please check the website, www.painesinc.com or call Paine’s, Inc. at (860) 844-3000 with any questions.

In addition, Town Hall, school administration offices, West Hartford Public Schools, public libraries, Recycling Center, and recreation centers will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, Thursday, Nov. 24.

All public libraries will close early at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23. The libraries will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 for Thanksgiving Day.

The Department of Public Works office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25.

Municipal offices at Town Hall will be open the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 25.
