This year, the Christmas and New Year’s holidays fall on a Thursday. Trash, recycle and metal collections during these weeks will start one day after the Thursday holiday observance.
For Christmas week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday collections will take place on their normal days. Thursday’s collections will be done one day late on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, and Friday’s collections will be done on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014. Christmas week is a A week for recycle.
For the week of New Year’s, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday collections will take place on the normal days. Thursday’s collections will be done one day late on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, and Friday’s collections will be done on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015. New Year’s week is a B week for recycle.
