USJ Class of 2019 President Honored With Prestigious Leadership Recognition

Isabella Russo, president of the Class of 2019 at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, has been honored by the YWCA.

Isabella Russo, Class of 2019 president at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), was recently inducted into New Britain YWCA’s Carol R. Virostek Academy of Women Leaders, one of 51 women in central Connecticut honored for their outstanding leadership and achievements in their careers. 

Russo, a History major, played a very active role on campus during her four years at USJ. She was a member of Pi Gamma Mu Honors Society, USJ’s Honor Program, and consistently made the dean’s list. In addition to serving as Class of 2019 President, Russo was Student Body president. Outside of the classroom, Russo was captain of USJ’s women’s softball team.
