[Postponed to April 27] West Hartford Art League to ‘Light Up the Night’

[Updated with new date.] The West Hartford Art League will host the community event in honor of its 85th anniversary.

The West Hartford Art League will be holding “Light Up the Night,” a community celebration, on its grounds, Friday, April 26, Saturday, April 27, in honor of its 85th anniversary.

This event is open to the public, and all ages are welcome.

Hundreds of white paper bags,or luminaria will be lit on the hill at the Art League grounds at 37 Buena Vista Rd. The public is invited to browse in the two galleries, and help light the luminaria while enjoying food from Iron and Grain and CraftBird Food trucks, and live music from Bill Benson and the Hall High Jazz Quintet.

Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the lights outside on the grounds as the sun sets. In addition, the galleries will also be open for a preview of the 2019 Regional Juried Exhibit, CT+6, which doesn’t officially open until Sunday, April 28.

Tickets are $10 a person and include food truck tickets for one person, a luminaria, and entrance to our two galleries. Additional food truck tickets may be purchased. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold at the door. The event starts at 6 p.m.

The West Hartford Art League is a non-profit arts organization founded in 1934. It offers four sessions of art classes annually, as well as Summer Art Camp.
