Join the Minority Business Network of the West Hartford Chamber for the next installment in the Colorful Conversations series, scheduled for Thursday, June 20, from noon until 1:30 p.m.

This episode will focus on “Breaking Bias – Multiculturalism & Messaging.” Attendees can learn from our panel of experts, while interacting directly with them and fellow guests through the chat and Q&A features.

Colorful Conversations is a quarterly panel discussion series designed to take a deep dive into issues that disproportionately impact minority populations. We invite experts from across the country to educate the community on topics of interest, and propose solutions to the issues faced. Past topics include Healthcare, Education, Access to Technology, and Employment. The forum streams live via Zoom, on Facebook, and through our partnership with West Hartford Community Interactive. The recordings are housed on the Chamber’s YouTube channel.

Yvonne Alston of Indelible Impressions will serve as moderator of the June 20 event. Panelists include:

  • Adrienne Billings-Smith – Town of West Hartford
  • Carlos Brea – NBC30/Telemundo
  • Marjorie Brown – CTB Staffing
  • Patrice Taffe – Westfield Bank

Sounds like a meeting where attendees just wait for others to stop talking without listening because they’d rather hear themselves talk. Does this group publish the findings of “solutions” to “issues that disproportionately impact minority populations”?
