West Hartford Community of Concern Panel Will Address Depression in Adolescence

The West Hartford Community of Concern, along with West Hartford Public Schools, will host a forum on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Caregivers and adolescents are invited to learn about signs of depression in adolescence and how to help at a panel discussion in West Hartford scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 9, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Conard High School cafeteria.

A diverse panel will speak about this issue through universal and culturally-specific lenses. A hot cocoa bar will be served.

Youth and caregivers are welcome to submit anonymous testimonials about the experience of depression for young people: https://forms.gle/SZR3stbipnoiMLze7. These stories may be shared during the event to help others understand this experience.

West Hartford Community of Concern is a joint-PTO committee of the middle and high schools raising awareness about youth mental health and wellness with a focus on equity and social inclusion. For more information, visit our website: https://communityofconcernwh.wordpress.com.
