Great by 8 and Growing Great Schools will host a community gathering on Sunday, May 15 from 2 – 5:00 p.m. at the 4-H Education Center at Auerfarm.

Families with young children are invited to spend a fun-filled afternoon at the farm. The afternoon will include opportunities to visit the animals, take a hayride, enjoy a variety of activities, enjoy live music, connect with other families, and play. Additionally, parents can learn about West Hartford’s early childhood education and health resources, discover new ways to build skills and promote wellness at home, as well as meet representatives from local preschools and childcare centers.

Great by 8 and Growing Great Schools are thrilled to be able to offer this event to families FREE of charge with the generous support of West Hartford’s early childhood community and Auerfarm.

Great by 8 is a program of the Bridge Family Center focused on improving access to high quality services in the areas of early childhood education and health. The Bridge Family Center is a comprehensive, regional nonprofit agency offering a broad range of services to children, youth, and families in the Greater Hartford area, with particular attention to serving those at risk. Growing Great Schools inspires communities to create a culture of wellness by connecting food, health, and the environment.
